Kudelka leaves Huracán after controversial draw

Huracán officially announced the departure of Frank Darío Kudelka as the team's coach. Kudelka's third cycle as Huracán's coach came to an end after 84 games.

What happened?

Kudelka is no longer Huracán's coach after a controversial draw with Barracas. The Cordoban left due to a second semester that was radically opposite to the first.

Why does it matter for Huracán?

Kudelka's departure is due to the team's poor results in the second semester. Huracán did not qualify for the Clausura playoffs or the 2026 Sudamericana Cup.

What's next?

Huracán's Board of Directors is already working on finding Kudelka's replacement. Diego Martínez is the first candidate to replace Kudelka. Martínez is available after his stint at Cerro Porteño in Paraguay.

Huracán's statement on their social media explains that the Board of Directors decided not to renew the contract with Kudelka and his technical staff. Kudelka presented himself at La Quemita to bid farewell to the professional squad. Now, Huracán's Board of Directors is looking for his replacement. Martínez is the first name on the list, but he's not the only one. There are other clubs that have Martínez in mind. Martínez will have to smooth things over with the directors after his controversial departure to Boca in 2023.
